Fourth of July event!

First off, I would like to congratulate ShichoMiyazuki for winning the Sexiest character event, you can see her here
The next event is mainly for the Americans, but all of you international folks can participate as well.
I want you to show me the degradation of freedom in "democratic" nations such as the U.S. or UK. I want you to show me what needs to be done to resolve this.
Best format would be a comic strip type but ANYTHING will work (including an essay).
Prize will be $10 sent to you. Nexon card or paypal.
(For paypal, you must be 18+)

Nexon out and about

Two bits of news for you today. The first is that Nexon will be at the Anime Expo in L.A., California from July 3-6, 2008. More details (Booth #, prize info, etc) here. You can register at the Anime Expo site here. Last year at least one of us went and came back with some, err, interesting pictures... {cosplay ahead}
The second bit involves an "old" GM Blog post from June 20th. {linke}
The last time NexAm had a Q&A it had to do with NLC, this time perhaps Pirates? Masteria? Bob and Larry (the snails)? The Showa graphic "nerf"? Five more days until we know!

We're hiring! (Yes real money!) This is a job offering for all of those 18+ year olds who are needing some side money!
I need someone that will man the live support desk as a sales person. For each sale that you make, you earn 5% of their monthly bill. So if you sell ten services all costing $100 each, you'd make $50/month. AND that will continue to go as long as they are customers!
NOTE: You don't have to work long hours or such on the live support, you must be there significantly which generally means at least a couple hours per day. We don't get a lot of chat requests yet, only a couple a day, so don't think you'll be answering questions all day long. Must of the time you can do other stuff

- People with the knowledge of servers/computers is a PLUS.
- You must be 18+

MapleGlobal is down

MapleGlobal is currently down for unknown reasons and that means the entire network. We did a little bit of investigation for ourselves and found that all of their IP addresses are down which means there is a severe network problem!
We're unsure what will be going on for now, currently we are facing high traffic and we'll be working to ensure the site does not lag up.

Commenting system update

Hello everybody,
I understand everybody likes commenting on the database, but some other folks like to turn the place into a little havoc zone, we have decided to add a couple extra filters to prevent spamming in the first place.
We've added a worp wrapping device to prevent page stretching as well, so score one for us.
I will not remove commenting, I feel it is a way people can freely express themselves. I support anonymity as well, you are free to post as guests, but spamming will not be tolerated and you will be banned if you do so.

Nexon gets buggy

Nexon America added a new forum yesterday, apparently due to the latest patches. Before you go posting though, please read -Hime-'s post {linke} and look at the current bug/glitch topics. If you can add some relevant information -screenshots for example- do so, if the report looks complete... perhaps just leave it as it is. If it's something new, describe the problem as best you can so NexAm's people have a good idea of where to look to fix it.
Hopefully the forum method will work out better, both for players and the "fixers", than the previous ticket system. I'm looking forward to a relatively patch free v058. ~via MySpace~

It's a marathon!

Nexon is currently having a server check (June 23, 2008) and hopefully it will fix more glitches.
This, along with the unscheduled server check yesterday and 25 hour patch is becoming an annoyance for us all.
Come on folks, don't release patches that are too glitchy to play!

Update in OdinMS Case

According to a new update on the OdinMS website, it seems that the courts have made a mistake but nothing can be done until more information is received within the next few months.
